High-impact challenges that foster leadership, resilience, and group synergy

Saiyuen offers secondary students an empowering natural environment to push their boundaries and develop true self-reliance. Our secondary years programming, designed for students aged 13-18, blends high-impact outdoor challenges with real-world problem solving. Through our programs, students practice leadership, strengthen their resilience, and experience the power of strategic collaboration through curriculum-aligned experiential learning.

Why Choose Saiyuen for Secondary Years?

  • Rigorously Managed Safety: Safety is our priority. We operate under strict safety protocols, regular equipment inspections. All staff are trained on basic CPR and AED operations, and are equipped to handle emergencies. We are licensed under Hong Kong’s Home Affairs Department, and hold third-party liability insurance.
  • Qualified Instructor Team: All our coaches are trained and experienced, and many have been with Saiyuen since our founding. Ropes and climbing courses (e.g. abseiling, canopy walk, monkey climb) are led by instructors holding recognized external certifications (i.e. Hong Kong Rope Union, Challenge Course Association of Hong Kong, Rope Course Union of Hong Kong).
  • Safe, Enclosed Environment: Saiyuen’s private, gated property features a manned main entry. For educators and chaperones, this offers peace of mind, knowing that students can explore freely within the park’s secure boundaries.
  • Curriculum-Aligned Outcomes: Our programs complement primary secondary school units of inquiry across STEAM, sustainability, physical education, and social-emotional learning. Key learning outcomes include leadership development, resilience, strategic problem-solving, collaboration, and critical thinking.
  • Flexibility: Our infrastructure and experience allows you to customize programs that suit your learning goals while simplifying logistics. We can design custom itineraries, integrate our modules into your existing schedule, or provide support for self-guided trips. Our network also connects you with subject-matter expertise to align directly with your curriculum.
